Starting September 19th we are introducing new plans for teams and single users as well as a free GitBook trial.
The "Team" plan (previously the startup plan), starts at $8/user/month (starting with 5 users), this plan offers the best of GitBook for all teams: create unlimited public or private content, collaborate with your team, and customize the output:
Branding options such as custom fonts, header and private sharing will now be accessible to everyone on the team plan.
More settings such as SSO and advanced auditing will remain on the "Enterprise plan" (custom plan for large organizations).
Creating an organization on GitBook now starts with a free 14-day trial period for all new members to kick off your first experience with your team.
This trial provides you the opportunity to test all GitBook features, start onboarding your team and create your content. During this period we will stay available for any product questions you might have.
At the end of your trial (similar to other softwares) you will be required to upgrade your organization to continue editing and collaborating.
The previous free plan with GitBook was limited to 2 spaces. You can now create up to 10 public or private spaces to host your notes and personal projects on GitBook. This will allow single users to access to more spaces and create multiple projects.
Depending on the plan of current users, those changes may impact you:
Free users: You can now create more public or private spaces (up to 10 instead of 2)
"Startup" plan: your invoice will not change, you'll get access to more features (customization, shareable link)
"Business" plan: your invoice will not change, you'll be upgraded to the "Enterprise" offering.
"Enterprise" plan: no changes are applied
